1 Day - arrival in Bucharest and Ciao Romania :)

Arrival in the airport and transfer to the hotel city center. Sightseeing tour of Bucharest including: the Ceausescu’s House ( today the Parliament ) the biggest building in Europe, the , 1 m larger than Champs Elisee, The Victoria Avenue with stop to the Revolution Square, the University Square, the Royal Palace, the presidens’ residence in Cotroceni, Dambovita Quay with the beautiful Palace of Justice, the impressive Military Academy, the – an open air museum - and the historical center – the area called Lipscani.
Special dinner in one of the most famous traditional restaurants in the city – "Caru cu bere". Overnight in Bucharest in a residential area full of old houses, in a 3 stars elegant hotel.
2 Day - Bucharest - Curtea de Arges - Sibiu( 285 km )

Departure to Sibiu passing by the Olt Vally, with its wonderful panorama and the thermal resorts Calimanesti and Caciulata. On the way stop to visit the Monastery of Curtea de Arges with its legend ( about the human sacrifice ) and next stop the Monastery of Cozia ( a typical Romanian Brancovesc style ).
Afterwards Sibiu – Hermannstadt, one of the most important medieval and cultural cities in Romania.In 2007 Sibiu was the European capital of culture, a real open air museum. Here you will see the Big Square with the Brukenthal Museum, The Small Square and the Huet Square, the Passage of Steps, The Iron Bridge etc.
Traditional dinner and overnight in Sibiel - famous rural area 12 km from Sibiu - or Sibiu city center.
3 Day - Sibiu - Biertan - Sighisoara ( 110 km )

In the morning we will visit the Brukenthal Museum, the first Romanian museum, opened in 1817 and hosting an impressive Art Gallery and the Exhibition of Ethnography and Folk Arts. Afterwards we will admire the Evangelic Cathedral, built in 1520 with its immense Baroque organ designed by a German master in 1671 and the Ursuline Church, from 1474, known from the Germans as Klosterkirche and taken in 1755 by the Ursuline nuns.
Departure to Sighisoara and on the way stop to visit the city of Medias ( with it’s citadel ) and Biertan, an exemple characteristic for the fortress-church family, one of the 300 fortified churches built between the 14th and 16th centuries.
Arrival in Sighisoara, one of the best preserved inhabited fortress in Europe and also the place where Vlad Tepes was born, in a big house close to the Clock Tower. Here at midnight one of the 7 statues emerges from the Clock Tower.
Dinner in a famous restaurant, the house where Vlad Dracula was born. Overnight in Sighisoara, in a 3 stars medieval hotel, right next to Dracula’s House.
4 Day - Sighisoara - Tihuta - Bucovina ( 290 km )

In the morning we will discover the lost world of Viscri, a genuine village, lost in Transylvania, with colorfull houses and a beautiful white fortified church.Here the life goes on using different rules than in the Occidental World. In this angle of paradise also Prince Charles has his own little house, for the vacations, remembering him England 50 years ago.
Then departure to Bargau Pass, passing through the city ot Targu Mures ( with it’s Roses Square ) and Bistrita ( winter resort). This is one of the most picturesque landscapes of Romania, that’s why this area and the castle were used in the film Dracula by F. Ford Coppola.
In the evening arrival in Bucovina, called the land of 2000 monasteries.

5 Day - Bucovina ( 100 km )

A whole day dedicated to visiting the beautiful monasteries, almost 500 years old. They were first build as fortified monasteries but soon became a real Bible for the analphabetic people.
First stop is the Moldovita Monastery from 1532 build by Petru Rares, with its dominant colour sunny yellow, the biggest of this period. Next you will visit the Sucevita Monastery, the last monument in Stephen’s style, the exterior paintings date from 1596 and green is the dominant background color.
We will continue with Humor Monastery and the last one and the most beautiful one – the Voronet Monastery, was founded in 1488 by the ruler Stephen the Great and is named the „Eastern Sistine Chapel” with its famous„blue of Voronet”.
You will assist at a demonstration of egg-painting, typical from Bucovina, being invited by an artisan in her own house. Afterwards we will visit a famous pottery centre – the Black Ceramics of Marginea, where real artisans will transform black dirt in beautiful pieces.
Dinner with home made products and overnight in Bucovina.
6 Day - Bucovina - Bicaz - Brasov ( 350 km )

Departure in the morning direction Brasov. On the way the area of Bicaz where you will admire 2 nature's wonders, Cheile Bicazului ( Bicaz Quay ) and the Red Lake, uniques in Romania. Here we will have a stop to buy typical souvenirs from Moldavia.
Next destination the medieval city of Brasov. Visit of the historical center (The Council Square, the Black Church, the Old quarter Schei, the Caterina Gate that separated the Rumanians from the Saxons in the AustroHungarian domination period.
Dinner and overnight in Brasov in a central 3* hotel.
7 Day - Brasov - Bran - Sinaia - Bucharest ( 190 km )

We continue our adventure with the famous Dracula’s Castle in Bran built in top of a rock and described by the Queen Maria as a small and pugnacious fortress.
Afterwards departure to Rajnov, a fortified Saxon citadel from the XIIIth century, and then arrival to Poiana Brasov – the most famous Romanian winter resort.
Then we arrive in Sinaia, “the Pearl of the Carpathians”. Here we will visit Peles Castle the most beautiful summer residence of the Romanian principles starting from the time of king Carol I and Pelisor Castle – decorated by the Queen Maria, who brought the Art Nouveau style in Romania.
In the evening arrival in Bucharest and farewell dinner in a restaurant style “bistrot” reminding the times when Bucharest was called “The little Paris”. Overnight in Bucharest 3 stars central hotel
8 Day - Bucharest... and Ciao Romania :(

In the morning free time to visit the capital or for shopping and transfer to the airport in time for the flight back home.

The payment of the tour
25% of the total amount has to be paid in advance by money transfer to confirm your reservation 6 weeks before departure.The rest of the total amount is to be paid here, cash, at the moment of the arriving in Romania.
CANCELLATION
In the case of cancellation of the tour, not later then 4 weeks before departure, the paid tour fee will be refunded, with the exception of the transfer costs
